Thanks for the welcome note. I am currently reading Exceptional Selling by Jeff Thull and Jeffrey Gitomer's Little Red Book of Selling. Once I have finished these, I will work through the PMBA reading list.
Cheers
Dave
I found a great deal of practical implementation of the knowledge I received with this course. I am really happy with it!
The reading list seems to be excellent too. I recommend "Bargaining For Advantage" by G. Richard Shell.
What questions did you have regarding web design?
thanks for your welcome.I have started "...Faster Reading". But as my language is german and portugues I got some difficulties.
Regards
Mario
Thank you for the welcome. I will be getting "The art of the start" first, as I have easy access to it.
I'm looking to build my skills in commercializing ideas.
I'm sorry about the late reply. I signed up back in October but I've been preoccupied with work. I'm currently studying for the CFA Level 1 exam in June. So that takes up pretty much takes up all of my time. I've read a few of the books on the pmba list but I'm about to start the, "The Power of Less."
Thanks again for the welcome and I look forward to talking with you soon.
Corey
Yes i have started with "Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes are High" I felt this as good starting part for my current role in professional and personal life.
My next step is, how to start business talking and writing, any recommendations
I apologize for the late reply. I am just getting acclimated here. I am familiar with and have scanned the three books you mentioned. I appreciate you welcoming me and I look forward to speaking with you again.
Regards,
Tim
I do keep referring 'Getting Real' - The 'Build' less concept is really a paradigm shift and interesting when you are competing against companies having a long list features in their products.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks for sending me a note. I think that's a great idea. I'll start a group for web designers and developers alike.
Actually, I have already read a couple books that are on the recommended reading list: The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp and I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi. Within a few days of reading a couple of chapters of Ramit's book I found myself already achieving results.
Thanks again!
Eric
Thank you for your message.
I have a web site for sell signboards : http://www.signaletique-enligne.com .
I prepare a new website concerning my designs.
I am a self employeyed and now i want to become a buiseness owner.
As said by Mychael E Gerber in "the Emith Revisited " i want to pass from the technician to the entrepreneur. I don't know yet if i continu in visual communication or if i search some new oportunities in design or inovations.
best regards.
Eric
Thanks a lot for the nice welcome.
I have not found Brazilians in the Community yet, but have spent very little time here so far.
I have noticed that you are very active in the Community and have a blog. Have you seen any interesting website, blog or article about business fundamentals lately that you could share?
Thanks again,
Edgar
Thanks for the warm welcome to the community.
I have found some books like 'Don't Fire Them, Fire Them Up' by Frank Pacetta a good one. The PMBA List is really a vibrant one as well.
Any suggestions from your list and I would really be eager to check these.
Looking forward participating in here at PMBA.
- Chris Wakare
I haven't read any of the book on the list yet, several look interesting however.
As usual I have serveral books going at once. My current business related books are "The Minding Orgainzation" by Iris Firstenberg. She is a professor of Psychology and also teaches in the Engineering and Management programs at UCLA - she is an amazing speaker. This book is about turning creative ideas into business solutions. The other book I have going is 'A New Breed of Leader - 8 Leadership Qualities that Most Matter in the Real Word' by Sheila Murray Bethel, Ph.D. the copy I have is an editors draft so Im not sure if it has made it to 'print' yet.
This week I just enrolled at a UCLA Certificate program in Leadership which has required reading so Im not sure when I will actually get to the books on the list.
Any suggestions? What have you read that has that has been inspirational or the most beneficial? (I'm always open to more book!)
Nice to 'meet' you ...
Jo
