Hi Florent, I wanted to make a general "tech comment," but it's directly related to what you thought about people not "on this level" being not at the level of the PMBA. At my last job, I was one of the two youngest employees at a high-grossing bu…

Hi All, Sorry, but I don't share your appreciation about this book... I expected more form this book about a concept which is yet used a lot in any company... No surprise, no value added... I also found missing things that sounds important such as…

About the Personal MBA

The Personal MBA (PMBA) is a systematic program of business self-education designed by Josh Kaufman to help people master advanced business concepts without enrolling in a traditional MBA program. Instead of spending time in a classroom, PMBA members believe it’s possible to get a great education by reading good business books, applying what you learn to your daily work, and discussing advanced business topics with others.

The Personal MBA consists of three main components: (1) a recommended reading list of best-in-class business books; (2) participation in the PMBA community forums; (3) optional personalized coaching to help keep you motivated and moving forward toward your business and personal goals.

The official PMBA reading list is a collection of the very best books the business press has to offer. The list is the tangible result of hundreds of hours of research and evaluation, and covers every important topic currently addressed in traditional MBA programs. To learn more about the reading list, read the PMBA manifesto.

Thanks Josh. Thanks to you for providing this stimulating forum. I hope to be able to contribute lots, and to mine the community's mind. Just posted a question about Virtual Assistants with that in mind, prompted by the chat about Ferris' book.

Hi Josh - Thanks for the message. I think I should be a little clearer in my profile. What I wrote is essentially me being able to type a few words in between baby naps! I am currently in the exploration stage. If you recall, I may have mentioned that I attempted to put my entrepreneurial skills in action a few years back which wasn't very successful. So this time I am taking it slow to really figure out what is it I want to do and I am taking the opportunity to rethink my goals and ambitions because I suppose I have gotten a little lost in past few years. So, right now, I really have nothing specific to discuss. I am starting a journey of self-exploration and career/entrepreneurial ambitions.

Thanks, Josh! Currently I develop web applications based on Microsoft .NET framework. I write and support some web applications for Customer Relationship Management and other modules that enable web-based access to an ERP system database. Before that I've worked on a PHP-based ERP system for a while. As a side project I run a private community-website for my technical university co-students based on joomla.

Again, thank you for the warm recepiton. I'm really looking forward to talking with you and the other members of the community and I hope I'll get some valuable advice!
