Hi everyone,
I have a website called FiredUpNetwork.com (the name is in the process of changing right now from FiredNetwork.com), which is a business networking site that offers its users resources on entrepreneurship, employment, fundraising, buying or selling a company, and post-graduate education (MBA/JD). To give you an idea, if you are an entrepreneur (or thinking about becoming one), you can find information on business incubators and accelerators, website development, marketing, outsourcing, writing a business plan, and more. You can even use our site to post your launch to help gain exposure for your business. The site is designed to be very interactive and to encourage members to share ideas and give feedback to one another. I would really appreciate it if you all could take a look at the site, and I hope it is helpful for some of you!

Best regards

Well, I think a big reason a lot of us are here are to meet new, interesting and knowledgeable people. I'm sure we each have our own individual areas of expertise and would definitely benefit each other if we could share it.

As for projects, right now I'm working on getting a blog off the ground and start building my own business centered around it.

How about you? What are you working on?

To the group: What do you seek here? What is your business personality? Are you an entrepreneur/independent or a corporate climber?

Hey Andrew- Welcome to the PMBA, and thanks for shaking us New Yorkers up a bit!
What are you trying to build/learn/accomplish with your knowledge from the PMBA? The books really are awesome in themselves, but unless you want to tear through all 77, it's really best to start with a project, get some books that will help you, and then go from there!

Looking forward to hearing about what you're up to, and hopefully others will join in as well! Happy Rainy Sunday!

There are 25 members of the NYC PMBA Community and yet our group page is silent.

THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!

Seth Godin is very angry at us! Look!

Surely, someone is reading a book or working on a business? Does anyone have anything that they have a question, comment or concern on?

I'll start. :-D

I just discovered this fantastic website and am very happy to join the community.

What I plan to do is:
1) Get a NYCPL card (Gasp! I don't have one? I'm from Queens and have a Queens one instead xP)
2) And borrow all of the fantastic books here and see what happens

So, how about a discussion anyone? Any particular MUST-READS that I need to take off the list first?
